Flash help!!

Hey guys,

I really need help from anyone that knows anything because there doesn't seem like any of the teachers have worked with flash and video/webcam :( .

So here's my project:

I need to capture video from a webcam after it detects motion (or it might be easier to capture a few frames rather than straight up video) then I need it to key out the color green because the person will be in front of a green screen.
Then I have to put the last 4 videos captured up in a 4 split screen (to look like a surviellence video) where they will replay in front of another video.

No one has been able to help me with this. I am working in Actionscript 3.0. If you can offer any help that would be great. Even if you know a website that could help.

Thanks guys.

I looked around on the web for a couple of links, try these. Most are relatively up to date.

I believe this is AS3

you could also look at this:

I think these are made with processing:

this if for AS2 flash 8

Maybe these might help. I work on campus so if you want to come and look through my books your welcome to.I have been learning about web video for the last few months.

yea, the keying part seems to be the worst!! I bought a flash book because it included keying, but they say go into AE, that sucked cause I needed it to be automatic.

If you know of any books that talk about that I would love to come by and check them out. Thanks!\
And thanks for all the links.

Hi Vanessa,
I'm trying to some similar realtime video processing for my project and am still figuring out how I'll do it. The plan is to use MAX/Jitter which is installed on one of the mac's near Mike Wuench's office. I'm going to be playing around with it the next few days. I'll let you know what I find out or you're welcome to explore the program with me.

Thanks Bow. It might be easier for me to stick with flash (more so for the other parts) but let me know anyway :)

This may also help. Unfortunately i know of any books for just green screen keying. Both Premiere and After Effects can handle it; some with tweaking and some with plugins.

here is a MAX/MSP sight:
